What are the types of plastic containers?

The plastic jar manufacturing process involves a series of steps that transform the raw plastic material into the final container. Here is a brief overview of how plastic jars are typically made:
Raw material selection: The manufacturing process begins with selecting the appropriate plastic resin or material, such as PET (polyethylene terephthalate), HDPE (high-density polyethylene) or PP (polypropylene). The choice of material depends on the intended use of the jar and the products intended to be stored in the jar.

Injection Molding or Blow Molding: The selected plastic material is heated and melted, then shaped into the desired can shape through injection molding or blow molding techniques.

Injection Molding: This process is used to create strong and opaque plastic jars. Molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity, cools and solidifies. Once secured, the mold is opened and the newly formed plastic jar is removed.

Blow Molding: This process is used to create hollow and lightweight jars. The molten plastic is extruded into a tube and then expanded inside a mold to obtain the shape of the can. Once cooled and hardened, the mold is opened and the jars are removed.

Cooling and solidification: After the can’s shape is determined, it needs to be cooled to ensure that it solidifies and maintains its intended shape.

Trimming and Finishing: Any excess material or imperfections on the jars are trimmed and smoothed to ensure they meet quality standards.

Printing and Labeling: Plastic jars may be printed and labeled to add product information, branding or decorative elements. This step helps improve the visual appeal and branding of the jar.

Quality Control: Each jar is subject to strict quality control, checking for defects including irregularities in shape, size and appearance. Any defective jars will be discarded.

Packaging: After quality control, the completed plastic jars are bulk packed and ready for distribution.
